8-Hour Food Service Sanitation Managers Certificate Class

Food Handler Certificate Class
This 1-day education course will meet the requirements for receiving your Food Handler Certificate. A Food Handler Certificate is required by the Illinois Department of Public Health for food workers that do not have their Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate. This food handler certificate lasts for three (3) years and is not transferable from establishment to establishment. Upon completion of the course, a certificate will be given to each attendee and will meet the requirements for the Food Handler Certification Course.
This training will be required to be taken by December 31, 2014. Beginning on January 1, 2015, all employees at all establishments that handle/prepare/touch food will be required to have this certificate. The certificates earned at these certification courses will be required to be presented to the health department personnel during inspections.

Cost for the course is $10.00. The first 50 people to reserve a spot in the course will be able to attend.
